BOISE, Idaho -- The city was invaded by thousands of people Tuesday, when Phish played an incredible, never-ending show at the Pavilion.

Phish opened up the show with Chalkdust Torture and it seemed as if the show would never end as the first set just kept going on and on. With fans letting the music flow through them, there was incredible dancing going on in every part of the Pavilion.

The feeling at this show was unlike anything ever encountered at any other concert I have been to. The camaraderie of the fans and friendliness was something beyond this world. Fans were gravitated to this band. This is a band that can be compared to such veterans of music as The Grateful Dead. The fans follow Phish as if they are disciples following some sort of spirit or force.

The songs were for the fans; the music was for the fans. The band played an awesome two sets with songs that seemed to last for 10 to 15 minutes each. It's almost amazing that a band consisting of just four people, playing bass, guitar, keyboard and drums can create such an eclectic, massive sound.

The band ended its second and final set with Frankenstein's Another One Bites the Dust Tease. Then the group came out for an encore of Simple and an unexpected a capella song of Hello My Baby where all four band members were harmonizing on the center of the stage.

It was incredible to go to a show where you don't have to worry about who or what you are. You can just have fun and enjoy some amazing music whether you are inside or outside the concert arena.
