Millville
P&Z approves three homes
By Joseph Sheppard
February 11, 2005 | MILLVILLE -- The
planning commission gave zoning clearance for three
new houses and approved a new committee member on Thursday.
The commission unanimously gave approval for the clearance
of two houses in the Shire subdivision. These came after
concern and recommendations about the placement of a
septic tank and about whether one home had a water catch
basin.
Planning Commission Chairman Jim Hart said the Shire
has 53 lots and that they are selling fast.
The committee also gave clearance for a house in the
almost complete Millville Estates subdivision.
With each clearance came the standard charge from
the commission that grass be maintained on the knolls
in front of each house and that the landscaping be completed
within two years.
"Millville is country living at its finest," Hart
said to the future residents of the homes. "Along with
it come the country odor and the flies. Welcome to Millville."
Rex Davidsivor was accepted to fill the vacancy created
by exiting commissioner, Ron June. June is moving to
Laramie, Wyo.
The committee recognized Catyse Easton as a new alternate
for the committee. The city council will be choosing
a new vice chairman in its upcoming meeting. That position
has been vacant since the previous vice chairman, Greg
Stott, took a position as the city development coordinator.
